Jonathan is Knowledge Exchange Manager – Arts and Humanities at The University of Sheffield, where he plays a hands-on role in building the networks that bring researchers together with cultural, community, business, and public sector partners. His work has a strong regional focus, engaging with cultural, tech, and health and well-being ecosystems, while also working closely with local authorities and the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority.
He brings to this role a wide breadth of experience across academia, museums and galleries, the third sector, and his own creative practice. Combined with strong project management and coaching skills, this enables him to navigate and strengthen relationships across institutions and sectors.
In a fast-paced environment, Jonathan is leading the University’s knowledge exchange engagement with several major regional initiatives. These include advancing the creative health agenda as a board member of Creative Health Sheffield, contributing to the Sheffield Culture Strategy, and supporting the University’s partnership with Harmony Works - a project creating a new home for inspirational music education and opportunity for Sheffield and the wider region. Alongside these strategic roles, he continues to provide vital support to individual researchers, helping them create impact through their work.
